My lessons are tailored to your needs, using content that is relevant to your goals and interests. For more general requirements, content can include stories/fiction, articles, YouTube videos, podcast excerpts, games, everything and anything that will increase your exposure to the structures and vocabulary you need. If you need to improve your English for work or exams, I can create lessons to assist you. I tend to emphasise reading and listening first, as these skills translate into better speaking and writing; it’s better to learn grammar and vocabulary through natural exposure to the language via reading and listening. However, my lessons are also a space where you can practise speaking and writing in a low-pressure, friendly and supportive way that will boost your confidence. We can work on general conversation, interviews, or role play certain situations; I’m here to work with you and create lessons that enable you to feel more confident in using English.

Lessons with me are fun and informal where you can set the pace, but I will also challenge you to learn new things and hopefully inspire you to explore everyday content in English between lessons. Whether it’s watching a video from an English-speaking YouTuber that you enjoy and dissecting it together, or writing something that we can then work on and improve, it’s up to you.

I’ve previously taught English in Germany to students aged between 12 and 21, helping them to prepare for written and oral exams, as well as providing private tuition outside of school.
