Hello! My name is Anna
My lessons are pretty student-led. I tend to ask what topics you'd like to focus on and your areas of concern and direct lessons from there. I much prefer revising pre-learned content rather than teaching fresh content, however, I can do either! I try to challenge students by asking questions, however, I aim to create a comfortable environment. During my time in school, I found it very difficult to ask questions, until I had one tutor who showed me the true meaning of patience. I aim to make sure that students feel the same during my lessons and feel as though they can truly ask whatever question they would like without feeling silly.
In terms of experience and qualifications, I have been a tutor for around 8 months but I am not a qualified teacher. I worked predominantly with students from Asia as I grew up in Bangkok. I attended an international school and understand quite a lot about universities around the world, therefore I can help provide advice. I did the international baccalaureate (IB) and achieved 43/45 points, studying Biology, Geography and Design and Technology at Higher Level as well as Maths Analysis and Approaches, English Language and Literature as well as Spanish at Standard Level. I scored 7s in all of my subjects excluding Spanish as well as getting AA in TOK and my EE. I also got 8 A*s and 2 As at GCSE level
