Hi! I'm Angelina and I've just graduated from Oxford with a 1st class honours degree in medical science and I'm now continuing my studies in clinical medicine there. I'm based in Marston, Oxford although I generally tutor online. I've been tutoring for two and a half years with a well-known online tutoring agency, although this is my attempt to go independent, and I can provide a link to my old page (and its over 100 5 star reviews ;)) upon request.
I like to think I'm approachable, patient and fun- although I suppose we all do. Still, the reviews I've had from my students speak to themselves and one of the greatest honours I've had in this job so far is being able to helps students discover their passion for the subject that they were previously struggling with.
As for lesson dynamics- I confess I'm not a huge fan of notes at all. My style of teaching is based on my experiences in Oxford tutorials and is very discussion centred- I want to make sure my students understand the topic by having them talk about it. If a student can explain a topic to me with their voice, they can almost certainly explain it in their exam with their pen. In my lessons, I'll use diagrams, animations and online simulators where its appropriate to explaining or exploring the topic. After we've gone through the content, we'll also spend some time doing practice questions because half the battle with exams is of course the exam technique!
