Hi, I'm Amir! I've been playing guitar and writing songs for over 12 years. Currently I'm in my second undergraduate year studying Electronic Music & Production at Guildhall School of Music and Drama where I'm constantly writing & recording new music, meeting musicians, and writing songs for guitar, voice, and other instruments. I'm a qualified Grade 8 guitarist with experience in performing, writing, recording, and producing music in many genres including rock, jazz, pop, indie, soul, RnB, and folk.

I believe the most important part of musical practice is maintaining your passion for music, so each of our lessons will be tailored to your specific needs.
We can focus on any range of topics, including:
- Guitar: learning songs, chords, and scale; developing your technique; enhancing your practice time; improving performance skills; developing musicianship; getting ready for an assessment, audition, or performance.
- Songwriting: approaches; exercises; finding and developing your artistic voice; stylistic decisions; music theory.
- Recording & Production: preparing to record; using the right equipment; mixing; genre-specific production; creative techniques.

All these subjects will be covered in the context of the music industry and whichever context suits you: whether you're a beginner, a hobbyist, a well-versed musician, a student, or looking to become a professional. I'll keep track of what we've covered and make sure your lessons are worthwhile.

I'm open to working with beginner & intermediate guitarists/songwriters/producers of all ages and backgrounds. Happy to travel for lessons or teach online - get in touch and we'll sort out a time!
