Amelia Furlong

Hi! A little about me:
I achieved an A* in both English Language and Literature at GCSE and A-Level. I won the Jesus College (Oxford University) Summer School Essay Competition before going on to study Law at University College London. I am now in my second year of study.
I have experience mentoring younger students at debate and speech writing in secondary school. Since being at University, I have also judged debating and negotiation competitions and provided advice and tips to younger students. While my experience of tutoring is limited, I am confident in my knowledge of what is needed to achieve high grades in English.

What can I offer?
I can offer 1-2 hour online sessions whereby I will support the student with any class work they are finding difficult, proof read and provide advice on essays, as well as general exam and revision advice. I am able to provide worksheets for the student to complete upon request. I also have exemplar essays that can also be provided upon request.
I feel I would be best suited tutoring students who are aiming for an A/A*. I can also provide advice and guidance to students hoping to attend top universities - particularly if they want to study Law.

Flexibility and contact:
My schedule is quite flexible now that I am home from university for the summer so I can adapt to whenever the student requires a session.
