I would describe my teaching style as highly adaptable. I do not really prefer one teaching method or one way of interacting with the students as, in my opinion, each student is different, and so is each lesson, so I always adjust my teaching to my student. I plainly prefer an individualistic approach to teaching. My philosophy is to always connect the lessons with the real world. Constantly looking for an application in the real world, or at least for a fitting parallel means my students find it effortless to imagine and understand the lesson. My lessons will always be short, concise, and coherent. My past exam experiences in GSCEs and A-Levels have taught me the importance of exam questions and therefore my lessons will focus on exam technique. My most popular lesson style is going through content for half of the lesson and then working through practice questions, relevant to the content studied in the lesson, for the remainder. My favorite thing about being a tutor is the fact that it's a flexible, rewarding, and interesting job where you'll make a positive difference. I also love seeing the development and maturing of my students. Furthermore, tutoring also reinforces my own skills and techniques and helps me to develop as a person. I feel my greatest success in teaching is my own personal growth as a teacher. My students have always challenged me to know all my subjects like the back of my hand. I have been able to prepare detailed lessons, each designed to maximise individual student learning opportunities. Preparation for teaching takes a lot of time, and my students have made sure I spend extra time doing things right.
