I like to mix and merge subjects wherever I can. No man is an island. So too, no subject or learning should have to exist in solitude.
For example, let's take an event in history or the news - or a place in the world - where we can discuss it in English and learn the vocabulary and idiomatic language surrounding it.
Or do you have a favourite hobby or pastime and want to learn how to tell your new friends about it in their language? Let's do it together.
Perhaps you want help preparing for some tests or exams? Or need someone to help you with your homework? I'm very happy to help with these, too.
Do you want to improve your English to have better conversations with your colleagues in other countries? Or have you met someone who you'd like to be able to communicate with on a deeper level? I'd be very willing to assist.
English can be tricky to learn, but with practice, expert help and guidance, you can do this! And it's much easier to learn when you have someone helping you along the way.
I'm sure there'll also be times when I can learn lots from you, too, about your culture and way of life. And if you ask me something that I can't answer straight away, you can be sure that I'll do my best to find these answers for you, ready for our next lesson together.
I look forward to meeting you soon - either online or in person.
Best wishes,
Alison
