Ali Hassan Rana Rana

I’m Ali Hassan Rana from Pakistan. I would like to apply for this position. I have completed teaching “Remote Sensing and GIS” contract of 07 months at the Department of Geography, Government College GT Road Jhelum.
All through my academic life I have found Geography extremely interesting because of the vast range of topics involved with it and how it relates to every subject in one way or another. I have a particular interest in the physical side of Geography and especially the topics of: tourism, climate change, coasts, hazards and the environment.
Here is a brief introduction about my ambitions and achievements so far.
I have done BS Geography from University of Gujrat and got CGPA of 3.08 out of 4.00 and scored “A” grade in field research report on “Assesment of socioeconomic condition of selected villages, Kharian”. While studying in University I did many projects on district jhelum Punjab, Pakistan. Which includes “Population density”, “mouza boundaries”, “land cover classification”, “adminstrative boundaries”, “Physical map” and “health care units”. All these projects have been done using ARCGIS 10.3.1 and satellite images for these projects were obtained from United States Geological survey website in Oct 2018.
I also did a project on stream lines of Azad Jammu Kashmir and Gilgit, Pakistan and was also a part of three other projects,
“Difference in the structure and composition” of district Gujrat Punjab, Pakistan.
“Area of watershed delineation”, “parameters of watershed delineation” and “Number of stream lines” of Ravi river Pakistan.
“Housing and rainfall report” of Punjab (1981).
I’ve also participated in 3 day International workshop on “Sustainability challenges and solutions in post 2015 development” organised by department of Geography, University of Gujrat, during 1 to 3 Nov 2016.
