Advert description
Result-driven Scientific and Computer Science graduate from Dublin Institute of Technology and Aberystwyth University with five years of combined experience in industry, academia, and private education.
With a strong interdisciplinary foundation, I’ve worked across both the tech and scientific sectors while also serving as a teaching assistant and private tutor. I have extensive one-on-one teaching experience with students aged 8–18, helping them not only excel in their exams but, more importantly, transform their attitude toward maths and science(Chemistry, Physics, and Biology).
My teaching style is entirely flexible and student-focused. I believe every learner is different, so I adapt my methods to suit each individual's learning style and pace. Whether in a classroom or a coding lab, I strive to make complex concepts engaging and accessible, aiming to inspire confidence and curiosity in every student.
Teaching Summary:
My approach is rooted in building a solid, big-picture understanding of each subject and how it connects to real life. This not only helps students care about what they're learning but also fosters genuine curiosity and deeper comprehension, moving beyond simple memorisation.
We build depth gradually through guided questioning and clear, structured explanations, using the exact terminology and formatting expected by examiners. As their understanding grows, we reinforce it through practice, helping students gain both confidence and clarity.
Finally, we focus on exam strategy and mark scheme techniques—so when it's time for the real thing, it feels just like one of our practice sessions. No stress, just calm confidence.
