Previously a teacher for students ages 6-14. I hold a Masters degree in Primary Education from California, USA. I have over 10 years of experience tutoring both nursery and primary aged students.

I have many years of experience tutoring students with dyslexia, ADHD, and other developmental difficulties. I have the most experience in reading, writing, and math, but can help with all subjects.

In everything that I do, I strive to make learning fun. I believe that is the only way to not only see great improvement, but continue to want to learn.

Most times than not, I have found that the reason someone is falling behind is because of a lack of proper communication in the way that they best understand. That is why it is my teaching philosophy to work with students in their specific learning style. Understanding what they enjoy, how they think, and their favorite subjects can significantly aid in how quickly they pick up a subject.

I am eager and ready to personalise instruction for your child, and make them excited about learning. Feel free to reach out to me via email if you’d like to set up a meeting.

Alexandra has been an incredible tutor for my child, who initially struggled with reading and writing. With her patient guidance and innovative methods, my child's outlook has completely transformed. From dreading reading and writing to now eagerly embracing these subjects, the progress has been remarkable. Alexandra's dedication and expertise shine through in every session, fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment. I highly recommend her to any parent seeking to ignite their child's passion for learning.

Alex is such an amazing tutor! I told her how my son was struggling with telling time, and asked if she could focus on that with him. She came up with a clever and fun way to help him tell the hands apart. She said the minute hand was the big mammoth because mammoths are big and start with “M” like minute. The hour hand was the little hamster because hamsters are little and begin with “H”. After some practicing, she gave him a quiz, and he got them all right! I was so surprised to see how fast he got the hang of it, and how much fun he had while learning it. Will definitely be recommending her to all of my friends!
