I would like to introduce you to the Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) approach for English language learning. In this method, the focus is on communication and interaction among students. Instead of just rote learning of vocabulary and grammar rules, students will engage in meaningful activities and tasks. The teachers will create situations where students need to use English to complete tasks, solve problems, or convey information. This approach emphasizes real-life communication and encourages students to express themselves in various contexts, fostering language proficiency through practical usage and meaningful interactions. The CLT approach often involves pair or group work, role plays, and interactive exercises, promoting active participation and language learning through authentic communication. I have had a first hand experience at this technique while I studied in school and it proved to be very effective for me and my peers. I hope to imbibe the same learning methodology while teaching my students.
