Hello! I am a final year university student studying Spanish. I´d like to do some tutoring on the side for GCSE and A-Level students. I have experience tutoring 2 primary school children Spanish. Should I have formal qualifications to tutor for GCSE and A-Level? Thanks!

Hi Paul, you don't need a formal degree to tutor, however, it is very important that you do learn how to be a tutor. For Spanish you can take a short course as an ELE teacher at a Spanish University online, Nebrija, UEMC, Salamanca all have very good programs/courses. Good luck with your tutoring!

Yes, it is best to know and have studied the language in a extensive and comprehensive manner.
It is my mother tongue language and I have studied it for many years, as well as holding the qualification.

That would very much depend on what it is required from you.
