Hi Leia, I am a German Undergraduate Student and Tutor! I hope I can give you some useful tips for this. 1.) for an informal question you can use a regular present tense sentence and raise your pitch at the end when speaking to imply a question, for Example, 'Du Kannst mit uns bleiben?' with a raised pitch. This does tend to connote surprise. 2.) Another easy way is to change the word order of the sentence by putting the verb first and adding a question mark. this is also done in English, for example 'can you do this?' rather than 'you can do this.' In German this would be 'kannst du das machen?' This works in the future and past tense by putting the auxilliary verb 'werden, haben, or sein' first in the relevant conjugation. I hope this helps and don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any further questions. best wishes, J. Snow
