You will learn the different types of elements available, about 118 of them. You will learn the types of bonding, that is ionic, covalent, metallic and co-ordinate (dative bonding). Chemistry consists of inorganic and organic molecules. Inorganic ones include ionic compounds such as sodium chloride and magnesium sulphate. Organic molecules include mocules such as methane, ethanol, ethanoic acid and glucose. Chemistry can be used to understand complex biological molecules such as DNA, starch, cellulose, proteins and enzymes. Chemical bonding and intermolecular forces are behind these macromolecules. Chemistry is the central science and it is related with subjects such as physics and biology. Chemistry also plays a pivotal role in technology, in solid-state chemistry. For example materials which can be used in data storage in computers, card chips and solar panels as well as LCD displays of mobile phones and television sets. It is also behind medicines, chemists make medicinal drugs utilising organic synthesis. Most pharmaceutical drugs come from herbs and trees. Chemists study the active ingredients in plants and make them in laboratories using chemicals. The drugs then undergo clinical trials and if they pass, they are sold into pharmacies. Chemistry is also involved in the processing of crude oil to obtain fuels such as petrol, diesel and kerosene, fuel for aeroplanes.

All the subjects including chemistry are conceptual subjects. You gain some knowledge and skills in your institution. Tutoring basically polish/consolidate your concept and improve the problem solving skills that you have learnt in the school or college. Tutoring also helps in preparing for your exams.

Hello, a tutor can be helpful for aspects where ever you are struggling or need help. Any areas or topics you are unsure or need extra help in. I can spend one on one time with you to help you learn, understand and revise. I used to have a tutor when I was studying and it really helped! Especially because it was one-to-one, the lessons and classes were designed and based on my learning needs and we spent extra time going through things I couldn't wrap me head around, until things finally clicked in my head!

Hey! As someone who tutors Chemistry, I can give you an idea of what to expect. A Chemistry tutor can help with a variety of things depending on what you need. For example, we often break down complex topics like atomic structure, bonding, organic chemistry, and chemical reactions into simpler, more understandable parts. If you're struggling with calculations, like mole equations or balancing chemical reactions, tutors can guide you step-by-step. In my sessions, I make sure to focus on areas where students feel least confident, but I also go over general strategies for studying and remembering key concepts. It's all about giving you the tools to understand the subject better and ultimately feel more prepared and confident going into exams. Hope that helps!
