Learn to take your ideas from your mind to the page

The course will cover the journey of taking a story from the idea to the finished piece. It might be a short story or a stage play. You might want to try your hand are writing an action movie screenplay or a radio drama. Just getting started on the planning from ou novel or simply wanting to brush up on your skills.

We will look at various writing theories and techniques for creating ideas. Methods for editing and polishing your work. Genres from romance to horror. If you want to learn how to be a writer, this course is for you.

I am currently tracking a 1:1 on my Ba (Hons) in English Language, Literature and Creative Writing. I am working toward a PhD level in creative writing. I am a member of the National Association of Writing in Education (NAME) and the H.G. Wells Society. I have two peer-reviewed articles published in the NAWE quarterly journal. I am the founder of the Blackpool Horror Society, which helps develop writers and gives them confidence, and I run an open mic night for local poets called Magical Words. I have published six books and written over 100 sketches that have been performed on stage and on the radio.
