I teach Violin/Scottish Trad Fiddle

Hi! I'm Fiona, a violin and vocal tutor from Edinburgh. I perform in various bands all over Scotland and currently teach adults and children from home. I graduated from Edinburgh Napier University with a BA in Popular Music in 2015 and hold a PVG.

My wedding band, The Apollos, performs ceilidh and popular covers for happy couples all year round. I also play fiddle and perform gigs regularly in my own band, Gefahrgeist.

I've been teaching since 2017 and I love what I do. It's great to see students go from strength to strength and tackle pieces or songs they thought that they'd never be able to perform. My teaching style is really informal and relaxed. I pride myself on being able to tailor the lessons to whichever teaching style suits you best.
