Hi! I'm Fiona Liddell, a violin and vocal tutor from Edinburgh. I perform in various bands all over Scotland and currently teach adults and children of varying skill levels. I graduated from Edinburgh Napier University with a BA in Popular Music in 2015 and hold a PVG.

My wedding band, The Apollos (est. 2015), performs ceilidh and popular covers for happy couples all year round. I also sing and play violin regularly in my own band, Gefahrgeist (electronic pop duo).

I've been teaching since 2017 and I love what I do. It's great to see students go from strength to strength and tackle pieces or songs they thought that they'd never be able to perform. My teaching style is really informal and relaxed. I pride myself on being able to tailor the lessons to whichever teaching style suits you best.

I'd love to help you learn the violin. I’ve been teaching classical violin and fiddle for five years and have a degree from Edinburgh Napier. I also play professionally in a number of musical outfits. Let me know when would suit you for a lesson and we’ll get started.

I can teach online or within 10 miles of my address - whatever suits you best as the student. I host an online classroom via Whereby. My only requirement is that you have a violin ready to go!
