I give professional lesson for academic writing, how to read academic journal and learning Korean

My name is Hyojin Yang and I have been a private tutor for 4 years until last year. I am a recent graduate, having just completed a master’s degree at UCL. My undergraduate degree is in Economics from Yonsei University in South Korea, and my master’s degree is in Global Prosperity (It is about building socially inclusive and environmentally sustainable paradigms of socio-economic) from UCL. Professionally, I have worked for the Development Bank of Singapore, Société Générale and a tech start-up company.

I am well aware of the stresses of academic writing as myself an international student and have spent a year searching for the best methods for increasing efficiency and precision in academic writing. Thus, I believe I am in an excellent position to help with any worries students may have about it. I tailor my sessions to each student's needs, but specifically, my lesson will focus on: how to read different journals and think about them critically and synthesise them in coherence.

For Korean, we can either focus on activities (such as study based on K-drama subtitles) or focus on grammar (dependent on the level required). I hope to help you develop your passion and excitement through learning.
