History & Politics tutor teaching at GCSE and A Level

Hi, I'm Holly Morris.

I was awarded and A*AA at A Level last year, with my A* in Political Science. I'm now studying BA American Studies & Politics at the University of Sussex with a view to pursuing a PhD and becoming a specialist in US Politics & populism research - so when you choose me as your tutor, you know I'm going to be able to help you secure the best grades you can, and either support your love of the subject or give you a toolkit to help you finish your qualifications.

I have a year of experience tutoring in Politics & History at GCSE and A Level, and my students have consistently secured one grade higher than their previous best after working with me, so I can't wait to help you thrive!

My lessons are flexible to fit your needs, but typically include planning essay questions, discussing content and providing essay feedback and guidance. For politics, I also think it's important to speak about current affairs by referring to recent news reports on both UK and international news, guaranteeing you the most up-to-date examples for approaching your paper. Furthermore, I may also assign reading/a short task to be done between lessons, so please be prepared to spend 30-60 minutes a week working on this as it will help you to gain the most out of our sessions.

I aim to make my lessons as accessible as possible, so there are multiple time options, all of which are offered as weekly/twice weekly private 1-1 sessions:
- 30 minutes for £5
- 60 minutes for £10

All sessions take place over zoom, and the cost includes download access to any powerpoints or handouts I use in our sessions.
