Advert description
I have an undergraduate degree from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, where I focused primarily on solo, orchestral and historical performances. I performed with the Royal Welsh College Symphony Orchestra, Wind Orchestra and many other ensembles, which led to performing professionally with the Baroque ensemble Réjouissance.
Throughout my degree, I was mentored by leading professionals including Jonathan Burgess, Sarah Newbold and Katy Bircher. I gained valuable knowledge, which has shaped my outlook on music and teaching, shaping the way I teach today.
My lessons are for students of any age and ability and can be adapted to suit what you are most interested in. We will work on building the foundations of a great technique, whilst exploring a repertoire of your own choice or advanced training for exams.
I can offer advice on how to practice effectively, how to manage performance anxiety and alternative ways of understanding music, to ensure learning the flute is always an enjoyable and positive experience.
