French and Spanish Tutor for GCSE and A Level

Bonjour ! Hola !
My name is Caitlin and I am an enthusiastic tutor with a passion for foreign languages. Having lived in France for most of my childhood and completing my primary school education there, has not only made me bilingual but also adaptable. I have also lived in Chile and Argentina for two years and taught English to kids and adults ranging from the ages of 5-40 years old. The experience has not only made me fluent in Spanish but has also helped me build on my language skills. I graduated from the University of Nottingham with a BA Hons in French, Spanish and Portuguese, during which I acquired a few years experience in tutoring French and Spanish and have continued doing so ever since. For the past couple of years I have worked as a Foreign Language Assistant at a sixth form providing 1:1 speaking classes with both the A Level and GCSE French and Spanish students. Having taught and being a learner myself, I can understand and help overcome the challenges of learning foreign languages by adapting my teaching style to suit the students. My lessons’ main goal is making sure my students get as much as they possibly can out of our sessions, encouraging students to improve their general understanding of the language and its culture by speaking to them in the said language. Personally, I find that speaking in the target language is something that isn't done enough in schools, which is why I want to help students communicate effectively and encourage them to feel confident in the language.
