Proficient and dynamic Cambridge University qualified Lecturer with several years of dedicated experience in teaching GCSE/A Level English Language and English Literature.

Experience includes Functional Skills from entry level up to level 2 (E1-L2). Also teaching ESOL from CEFR Levels A1 to C2 for examination purposes (KET, PET, FCE, CAE, CPE, IELTS, etc).

I have engaged students who are adhering to not only Cambridge University, Pearsons, and NCFE, but principally OCR, Edexcel and AQA exam boards. More specifically teaching skills in English covering a wide range of contextualised studies, i.e., intensive reading to infer, comparative analysis and juxtaposition of language, themes, structure, etc. Critical appreciation and evaluation of a diverse range of literary texts and anthology. Constructive writing skills for different genres and purposes.
Communication skills and the preparation of discussions, debates, and general conversation in a range of contexts/topicality.

Have a dynamic and engaging teaching style, excellent at building rapport and maintaining interest during teaching classes and one to one.

Able to plan and adapt both, strategically and effectively taking into account each individual student's specific needs and learning styles. Thereby, conducting successful lessons which are not only highly engaging, but also meaningful and culturally suitable.
