English Tutor providing lessons to children and young adults (years 3-18)

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature from the University of Sheffield. I am an affable, approachable and hardworking young man who has a strong ambition to work in tutoring and education. I have experience of working with children and teenagers through voluntary work during my time and Fulford School, York. I mentored those aged 11-14 and engaged with them through activities and strategies for learning, this is where my interest in teaching and tutoring began. Whilst completing my degree I was a regular in seminar participation and activity work. This boosted my communication and rhetoric skills; I would also have regular meetings with senior academics in the English department to further my understanding on the qualities needed to become a good communicator and enthusiastic teacher.

Though eclectic, these experiences have a shared relationship as they have given me an appreciation of different ways to format tutoring. My ambition is to become a well-respected tutor with a passion and conviction that will shine through in my sessions.
