English literature tutor for GCSE and A Levels, including poetry, plays, Shakespeare and modern century texts

I have studied English literature at GCSE and A Levels and have excelled in it. I plan to make students confident in their skills and boost their grades by encouraging their growth in adopting key transferable exam skills. Students will learn to develop authentic and unique responses to exam questions through practice papers. My approach is centred entirely on how the student wants to navigate each session. I value their confidence immensely so if they feel that they want to go at a slower pace, for example, by examining key scenes in set texts then i am more than happy to facilitate and support learning at their own pace. Each session will prioritise the advice given by exam boards and assessment objectives specific to each exam style. Generally the main things we will cover involve: understanding the text as a whole, mastering the application of context in exams responses, becoming capable of understanding the multiple perspectives of writers.
