Biology Tutor providing online lessons for teenagers and adults

Advert description
I have a Master's degree in Conservation Ecology, a second Master's degree in Wildlife Photography and Imaging, and a bachelor's degree in Zoology with Animal Behaviour. I also set up and run a marine research and conservation field school in Indonesia where I have been teaching Marine Biology to teenagers and adults for over 3 years.

My lessons are done online, through video calls, and usually involve power point presentations and videos. We can focus on whichever topics you find most challenging and move at a pace set by you, to make sure that you are confident with the material before moving on. Discussion and Q and A sessions are also common, especially during revision periods, and can help you to commit everything we are covering to memory.

The natural world is something I have been deeply passionate about for my entire life, boosted by a childhood spent exploring the wilderness with my entomologist father. I believe there is nothing more important than helping others to understand how truly incredible life on earth is, so through our sessions I hope to help you become just as passionate about biology as I am.

Thomas Henry Huxley once said, “To a person uninstructed in natural history, his country or seaside stroll is a walk through a gallery filled with wonderful works of art, nine-tenths of which have their faces turned to the wall.”

So join me, and let's explore the wonders of the biological world together.

Kara is fantastic teacher! She was my teacher for an A-Level in Marine Science. She delivers her lessons very slowly and clearly and is also very prepared. She recorded all the lectures and made them easily available to use for private study which was a huge help! She was always available for questions (even in her own private time), and she would not stop helping until I understood. She is definitely the reason I got my first ever A!

My experience working with Kara was unlike any other teacher student relationship I’ve ever had. This was my first time ever taking an advanced science class and she was willing to sit down and review and re-review and teach it a different way until I was able to understand the lessons. She helped me feel confident in myself and helped me see I was capable of much more than I thought possible. 10/10 would recommend Kara!!

Kara is an incredible teacher! She made sure everything was to my pace and the lessons were fun. Any questions I had she answered in full detail and made sure I fully understood before moving on. Because of Kara I have achieved an A* and have gone onto university, which I never thought would have been possible. Through Kara's care and skill as a teacher my career, and life, have taken a turn for the better. I cannot recommend her enough as a tutor and fully encourage anyone to have her as their teacher.
