I bring a strong foundation in chemistry as a second-year chemistry student at the University of Melbourne, with experience in areas such as organic, inorganic, and physical chemistry. I’ve successfully completed hands-on labs and practical experiments, giving me a practical understanding of complex concepts. Additionally, I have experience explaining challenging topics to peers and collaborating in study groups, where I learned the value of clear communication and adaptability. I’m skilled in breaking down difficult material into manageable steps and using analogies and visual aids to make chemistry more accessible.
Teaching Approach
My teaching approach is student-centered and tailored to each learner's unique needs and learning style. I start by assessing the student’s current level and identifying their specific goals. From there, I structure lessons to build foundational knowledge, encourage active problem-solving, and reinforce understanding through practice questions and discussions. I make it a priority to create a positive, engaging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. To support retention and build confidence, I incorporate frequent reviews and provide constructive feedback, helping students develop both their chemistry skills and their study techniques.
