I’d first understand the learner’s goals (e.g., conversational fluency, academic writing, business English) to tailor lessons to their needs. I’d focus on the fundamentals of English grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. I’d encourage learners to apply what they’ve learned in speaking and writing tasks. I’d assign listening and reading tasks that corresponds to each lesson’s theme.
