When teaching English as a foreign language, I emphasize a communicative approach to learning rather than focusing solely on grammar drills and rules. While grammar is important, it’s not the primary focus of my lessons. My goal is for students to feel comfortable speaking English in a natural, conversational way, similar to how children grow up learning English at home. As they progress, reading and writing will follow naturally. This method was how I learned French in university, and I believe it’s one of the best ways to truly learn and enjoy a language.
