I am friendly and hardworking and work best with 9 to 18 year olds

I believe the best way to teach is by discovering which method works best for the child in an initial meeting and over time. For example, I have had tutees who preferred a more structured lesson format following a PowerPoint and copying and reciting annotations and information. On the other hand, I have worked with students who prefer a more discussion based interaction, in which they are free to ask questions in a more unstructured and informal manner. As an adaptable teacher, I enjoy working in both formats, and those in between, and believe that both the child and myself will produce our best work when the child is fully engaged with both the subject and the way it’s being taught.
