Advert description
As an experienced tutor in Contemporary Religions and Ethnomusicology, I employ a student-centered approach to teaching. My lessons are designed to be interactive and engaging, encouraging students to actively participate and think critically about the subject matter. I utilize a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, discussions, and hands-on activities, to cater to different learning styles.
In my role as a Course Tutor and Course Coordinator at University College Cork, I have developed and delivered undergraduate tutorials, supervised student assignments, and contributed to curriculum development. My experience as an Academic Skills Coach has equipped me with the ability to provide personalized academic support and deliver workshops on study skills and academic writing.
I emphasize the practical application of theoretical concepts, drawing on my PhD research in the therapeutic effects of lament traditions to provide real-world examples. My teaching style is collaborative, fostering a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable sharing their ideas and asking questions.
Whether teaching in-person in Cork or online, I am committed to helping students achieve their academic goals and develop a deep understanding of the subject.
