I am an educator who uses patience and positive reinforcement to educate school and college students.

I have a PhD in Environmental Sciences and hold eight years’ worth of experience in the teaching sector at the university-level. I hold a solid foundation in environmental science, including topics such as ecosystems, climate change, sustainability, and conservation. I have published several first-author studies in internationally reputed scientific journals. I have a certificate in ‘University-level Teaching Assistantship’ from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, as well. I have teaching experience with large student cohorts, ranging from 20 to 150 pupils, for courses such as Environment and Society, Biosphere and Global Land-use change. I also managed undergraduate field visits for students in India (Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad) and Singapore (Nanyang Technological University), teaching them skills such as bird identification and sampling vegetation plots to name a few. I designed course materials and conducted lectures for the undergraduate course ‘Coupled Human Natural Systems’ and ‘Environment and Society’, particularly on the topic of ‘Human and Wildlife Interactions’. Besides acting as a Teaching Assistant for several courses, I also administered field visits for IIT Palakkad, India and Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. I have also designed and delivered lectures about biodiversity conservation for an Agricultural College in India via online mode. I have received positive feedback from students throughout my teaching experiences, and I seek to continuously improve my teaching methods based on feedback and suggestions from students regarding their learning needs. In my teaching roles, I have effectively engaged undergraduate students in environmental sciences and mentored students on their final year projects. These experiences have equipped me to nurture emerging scholars in producing impactful research. My academic background and independent studies have equipped me with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and relatable manner. Additionally, my strong organizational skills and creativity enable me to design engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student needs.
