Dedicated and encouraging tutor, with flexible work style.

I am a second year university student, looking to further my passion of teaching English. I have experience working in teaching roles, and am dedicated to use my knowledge to help build the students’ confidence in both the subject and themselves. For a short period of time, I assisted at a secondary school as a temporary teaching assistant, where I was able to shadow professionals, assist students in written and oral work, as well as lead some of my own KS3 lessons. In terms of subject specific knowledge, I achieved a grade 9 in both English Literature and Language at GCSE level, as well as spending several months tutoring these subjects informally. I have most experience with the AQA exam board, however, I am prepared to work with other exam board specifications as well. I’m also well familiar with English Literature at A Level (also under the AQA exam board), and am confident in what the specification is looking for. I am prepared to be flexible in my teaching style, and use a variety of methods and resources to ensure my students get maximum support from each session. My priority will always be my student and their development as a learner.
