It’s important to gain trust from the student and build a good rapport by sharing experiences and listening to what the Student wants to achieve from the lessons. Conversational English is extremely important also grammar and written English equally. I like to discuss ways of working together, tasks/homework etc and if this is something the student would be happy with. Basically what works for the student.
