English tutor looking to help you succeed and feel more confident with the subject

Lessons will be between 30 minutes to an hour and I will create a structured timetable based on the specification curriculum (AQA, Edexcel etc.) to make sure all content is covered and then focus on areas that the student may struggle with. Weekly lessons would be most effective but I have a flexible timetable, so I am able to adapt to the needs of the student. Lessons will mostly consist of firstly covering content and then looking at past paper questions to apply this. I will set mini homework tasks outside of tutor lessons - they will not take long as I do not want to add to the school workload but will ensure that the content from the lessons is consolidated. At the start of each lesson, we will also do a brief recap of previous lessons for optimal memory retention. I will take the time to make revision resources outside lessons to help support the student as well as give them tips and advice on how to make effective revision resources themselves.

I aim to create a supportive environment for anyone I tutor and make sure that they feel comfortable to voice any concerns and ask questions. I personally love English as a subject and enjoy teaching it to others. Through my previous tutoring experience with primary school, GCSE and A Level students, I have been able to help many others understand and appreciate the subject.
The first class is free and the hourly rate for lessons is £25.
