I'm passionate about languages and communication. I want to help people to discover the joy of speaking a foreign language

I am a freelance journalist, but I have spent many years teaching English as a foreign language.

When I was younger, I taught English to Italians in Florence and Rome for two years. Then, I moved to France and did the same job in Strasbourg for another two years.

I am passionate about languages and speak French and Italian fluently. I recently translated a book from Italian into English and it will be published this year.
Whilst working in Italy and France, I enjoyed teaching immensely and I’ve also wanted to go back to it. The possibility of working remotely makes this a more achievable goal as I have a family and could not uproot and go to live abroad again.

I think I am an ideal candidate for a number of reasons. I believe passionately in the value of speaking a foreign language. As a journalist, I have a deep understanding of how the English language works. I also enjoy meeting people from other cultures.

I am also a thoroughly professional person. My lessons were always well-prepared and I made sure that my students spoke a lot, had an enjoyable time, and discussed a wide variety of interesting topics.
