I give private lesson tailored to the needs and level of students

Advert description
I always like to make my lesson fun and engaging as this will reinforce learning, make it interesting and adaptive to students needs as well.

With the many methodologies, techniques, learning strategies, and styles of teaching, most especially when it comes to applied sciences like physics, I have come to realise that there is no precise methodology of teaching; rather, it is to be adaptive and flexible as the needs or the situation warrants. At the early stage of my teaching career, while having one-on-one interactions with some of my students outside class activity, I found one thing in common to most, if not all the students, and this was that the subject was very difficult to understand and thus created a sense of impossibility to be easily passed in the minds of students offering it. This became my point of interest as I continue on the path of building and shaping the minds of the students that I teach.
Over the five years of my teaching experience, I have read/studied, learnt, unlearnt, relearnt, and applied the various methods of teaching, even to the point of improvising in each of the methods I used. One of the breakthroughs I had was when I realised that the only way physics and science could be easily understood was if they were made more real and practical than theoretical with all that can be seen around us, using various instructional materials, especially audiovisual equipment like smart boards.
For me, my philosophy of teaching is a combination of different strategies, methodology, approach, and context while bearing in mind the goals and objectives in the process. In doing this, I try to always make my classes conducive and interactive so as to maintain the interest (which is one
key part of teaching and learning) of my students and make each of them fully participative. I make sure that the atmosphere is safe for everyone to be fully involved, making it known that it is okay to make mistakes while trying to learn and there is no room for judgement or name tags. I sometimes give the floor to my students to assume the role of a teacher, and I take the student role so that I can learn from them because I believe teaching and learning are two-way processes; there cannot be teaching without learning, and there cannot be learning without teaching.
Aside from the classroom activities, I also try to maintain a good relationship with them in terms of offering good guidance and counselling to them because I take note of their emotional state while in class, as learning is state dependent. This helps me to know my students not just academically but also on a personal ground; knowing their strengths and weaknesses and using this as a tool to help them become the best. To make them the best, I assume the position of a life-coach, constantly checking on their progress level and organizing sessions to foster self-growth
and development.
In conclusion, the philosophy of teaching I have is a byproduct of my self-development; constantly looking for a better way of becoming better at my profession. I strongly believe this is imperative, as learning is a life-long process that only ends at death. This is my drive, this is my passion, and this is what keeps me focused when the going gets tough as I strive to leave my mark as one of the greats in my generation, trusting Almighty God to lead and order my steps as I walk the face of the earth.
