Hi, I'm Penny! I'm a reliable, experienced, progress-focused and attentive tutor, passionate about helping people learn new languages and achieve their language goals. I offer one-to-one Conversation lessons for beginner, intermediate and advanced learners in English as a Foreign Language. I bring a supportive, relaxed and encouraging student-centred approach, where you don't have to feel anxious about speaking and making mistakes.

In my free time I love listening to podcasts and videos on personal development and languages. I'm also learning some Swedish, Polish, Welsh and Arabic to keep me entertained and challenged!

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS: - Qualified Modern Languages Teacher; Head of Modern Languages (PGCE with Qualified Teacher Status in secondary French & German) - 12 years' professional experience as a languages teacher and tutor - DBS checked - GCSE exam preparation for AQA, Edexcel and WJEC boards - Instruction for absolute beginners and learners at CEFR A1-B1 levels, including Goethe and DELF qualifications - English native, bilingual German speaker (German mother) - BA in French, German and Italian, with Distinction - TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) with Distinction

Consultation ("trial"/first lesson) £5 (this lasts between 15 and 30 minutes)

Conversation Lessons £9 (50 minutes)

Payments are made in advance of sessions. If you cancel your lesson more than 24 hours in advance of the lesson start time, you will be fully refunded. If you cancel your lesson less than 24 hours in advance of the start time, no refund will be provided.

Current availability Monday to Friday between 11am and 3:30pm UK time. Please enquire for lesson options after 3:30pm.
