I am a recent Oxford Chemistry graduate passionate about teaching students of all abilities in science and maths.

I have 4 years of experience in freelance tutoring and have also volunteer tutored students with learning disabilities. My tutoring style is tailored to each individual student. I have also mentored students in the years below at university. I usually start a lesson by listening to my student’s concerns and anything specific they would like to go through. I then attempt to enhance their understanding by using various past exam papers; the best way to learn is through exposure to types of questions that they haven’t seen before. Both knowledge and confidence are key in helping students achieve high marks. I end the lesson by asking students to recap the topic in their own words to identify any gaps in their knowledge. I also set past papers to attempt in their own time, which I am happy to mark outside of tutoring time.
