Does your child feel anxious, nervous or stressed because of school? Does your child feel overwhelmed thinking about their future or upcoming exams? Does your child feel like they find it difficult to focus? Perhaps they struggle to feel motivated. Maybe they feel unconfident and confused about who they are.
These one-to-one sessions are designed to help your child learn how to quieten their busy mind. They will learn to create more clarity and focus. They'll learn how to react to stressful or overwhelming situations with logic and rationality. They'll discover ways to feel more grounded. This will help them feel more confident about their future. They'll learn about discipline and routine to help them with their exams. They'll become more creative and be able to problem-solve with ease. They'll have a stronger sense of self and who they are.
During my first session with your child, we'll discuss how I can best help them. Each session after our initial meeting will be tailored to their needs. They'll learn mindfulness practices such as grounding exercises, breathwork, meditation, journaling, and goal setting. They'll learn how these practices apply to their life. These techniques will be practised in the lesson. They will then be given similar tools and exercises to practice at home. This will help them with consistency when it comes to whatever is worrying them in life. Overtime they'll gradually feel more confident, focused and calmer.
These sessions will all be delivered by Katie from KatieHart.JustBreathe. Katie is a certified trauma-informed breathwork facilitator and reiki practitioner. She has taught the LAMDA exams, acting, singing and musical theatre to children aged 6-16 for 9 years. Having discovered the magic of breathwork, she retrained to help others with their mental health. Recently she took the position of Mindfulness Lecturer at Abingdon and Witney College.
