I am an undergraduate Law student at the University of Warwick. I have experience teaching to a wide range of ages and levels and therefore understand the importance of adapting to each student. During my A levels, I was part of a mentoring program in order to improve the reading proficiency of GCSE level students. Additionally, I founded and organized the debating club at the local primary school in order to improve the confidence and presenting skills of younger children.
My teaching stye is tailored to each student, but my aim is to create a welcoming environment to foster creativity. Tutoring is an opportunity to go through any questions, fill any gaps in learning and most importantly build confidence in the subject. Personally, I found going through exam questions slowly immensely helpful as this helped me understand both how the questions are structured and gaps in my knowledge.
Being the youngest sibling with three elder brothers, I have learned how to develop my ideas through challenge and debate, as well as the art of persuasion and analytical thinking. Going into that exam, the best way to guarantee a grade is to deeply understand the topic and text. I strongly believe in intrinsic learning - as going into the exam you should be able to have the breadth to fully explore the question. I was fortunate enough to have incredible teachers to guide me during the exam process and I too want to foster a love of learning within my students.
