As a freelance French teacher/language coach, my method of working is a "made to measure" course adapted to my students’ needs and what they wish to achieve. I don’t follow any one specific method, preferring to work from a wealth of different resources.

The aim is to enable learners to get out there and talk, go beyond the “blockage” they may feel (or brush up on their rustiness) when out and about in social, work or academic situations. I’m very adaptable and can focus on specific topics too.

I run private lessons as well as group pay-as-you-go group lessons in person.

Of French and Canadian nationalities, I have lived most of my life in the UK, though have always kept a firm link with France through school, work and holidays. I am therefore entirely bilingual in French and English. My husband is British, our daughters are brought up bilingual and I home tutor them in French.

I have taught French and English for close to 20 years. I passed the TEFL in 2002 and the PTLLS Certificate in 2009.
More recently, I was employed as a Language Teacher for the company French@Work whilst living in Singapore, and carried on teaching when we moved back to the UK in 2016.
