Physics tutor to support students using a student-centered approach

I have more than four years' experience as a lecturer in mechanical and manufacturing engineering at a further education college. I taught mechanical engineering principles.

In addition, I have a sound background knowledge in computing and experimental methods. As part of the BTEC curriculum, I conduct practical such as bending moment and shear stress calculation in a simply supported beam, pipe flow rate calculation using different flow measurement equipment.

At College I work with students from diverse backgrounds, expectations, and abilities. Therefore, I am familiar with student-centred teaching approaches. I have extensive experience in doing online lecturing using MS Teams and Zoom.

Given the extensive experience gained in curriculum development, design and delivery of lectures using various teaching methodologies and innovative approaches, assessment, practical, by working in further education, I am confident that I have the knowledge and skills to support students to improve physics knowledge and their confidence.
