I believe in motivating pupils through offering an interactive learning experience and engaging them in a variety of ways to make subjects more interesting. I am passionate about making education enjoyable and fun and I feel that this passion shows in the way I teach. I combine creativity and innovation with empathy and flexibility in my teaching strategies.
It is worth mentioning the role of pupil motivation and prior knowledge in creating a favourable environment for the deployment of the student's cognitive processes. These regulate the balance between expectation and new learning. Pertinent questioning leads to cognitive conflict (Piaget) which in turn makes learning more interesting and sustainable, which in many cases leads to a meaningful and pleasant learning experience.
Another aspect that I consider important to analyse is the role of daily meta cognition attained through qualitative analysis and/or self-reflection. These encourage each student to self-evaluate and enable teachers to diagnose the strengths or weaknesses in a learning session and deliver adequate feedback.

I believe that teaching a language is mainly a mechanism of communication, understanding, tolerance and respect between cultures and a democratic and useful tool. According to a British Council report published in 2017, Spanish is the most important language for the future and one of the three most widely spoken languages in the world.
Finally, I believe that the democratic values, of integration, tolerance, unity, solidarity and respect can be adequately transmitted through education and made effective through the teaching of a language. I believe that, by employing these values, we can realize a dream of a more human world, where language unites people of different cultural backgrounds.
