Whatever you need in a tutor, from ABCs, l.through to Exam Prep, through to business lectures, I’m your man!

Advert description
I am a tutor/teacher with almost 20 years of experience. In those 20 years I’ve learned that, for myself at least, the most productive lesson is the one in which the students are comfortable and relaxed (although not TOO relaxed!). My teaching style is often described as “not strict but not slack”; whilst the idea of a dead silent classroom in which ONLY the topics and concepts are presented, I do still expect my students to do what is asked of them. I also make it a rule that if anyone at anytime is confused, they have the right to voice their questions without repercussions. That said, however, if a student is too shy and/or self-conscious to ask in front of their peers, they may voice their concerns with me in total confidence. Additionally, I try my best to get away from the old-fashioned- style method of the teacher standing at the front of the classroom, droning on - I don’t feel that this is conducive to learning. Plus, it’s VERY boring. When introducing new concepts, I prefer to do so by way of conversation with the class, and/or complete mini- activities (crosswords, word games, etc). This way, I feel, students are able to retain the new topics. So, to some up, if this sounds like your type of thing, or you’re just curious as to how my classes work, I’m your man! I keenly look forward to hearing from you soon, All the best, Cam.

Mr. Cameron taught English to my classmates and I many years ago. He engages his students well during classes, could relate to us, and is funny and kind. The assignments were manageable with reasonable deadlines. Studying was enjoyable (and memorable!) with him. I wish him luck and success in his future tutorings.
