English Teacher/ Trainer, Assessor

Advert description
With over 25yrs Teaching experience. I started my teaching career in 1980 working with young adults wanting to achieve Basic Literacy and Numeracy skills including offering vocational guidance. The main objective for me was to facilitate the entry of the learner into their chosen area of training or employment. To provide the learner with the opportunity to achieve a relevant vocational qualification. To improve their Maths and English where this has been identified as an area of training needs. To effect a discernible and measureable improvement in the learners employability skills (attendance, timekeeping reliability, communication skills, interpersonal skills and motivation etc) Too improve the learners self-confidence and assertiveness.

• Behavioural or emotional problems.

I joined Springboard Islington a Youth Training Scheme in 1991 as a Preparatory Training Supervisor. I delivered the programme using teaching methods suitable for mixed ability groups. I was involved in recruitment and work experience for the learners.
Whilst working at Springboard Islington I achieved the City & Guilds 7307 Teacher Training Further and Adult. Followed by gaining the TDLB D32, D33, D34 and D36 Assessor Awards. This has enabled me to become a qualified Internal and external assessor, expanding my role as a parapertpetic trainer/assessor. In 1996 I started work as a Childcare trainer /assessor achieving my Childcare and Education Level 3 qualification in 1999. My roles and duties involved the delivery of underpinning knowledge for Early Years Care NVQ at level 2 and 3. Devising lesson plans, learning packs and other appropriate training materials. To administer work based projects and assignments. Contributed to the development of NVQ’s and liaison with other staff external organisations and institutes, ensuring the effective implementation of th
