Advert description
I am a full time secondary school Mathematics teacher. I have been working as a private tutor since 2017 working with children aged 4 and upwards in KS1, KS2, KS3 and KS4.
I have a BA degree from University College London (2:1). I hold A-levels in Mathematics (A*), History (A), English Literature (A) and Chemistry AS (A). PGDE in Mathematics Education from University College London.
I communicate with parents/carers after each and every lesson. It is the joint responsibility of the parent(s) and pupil to provide me with a key goal and rationale for the extra 1:1 lessons. This is to help me build action steps to help the child reach these goals. I have a variety of techniques and resources which I use for online lessons, covering the range of topics within the national curriculum. Each pupil is different and I adapt my teaching methods, style and resources to cater to their needs. Lessons will comprise of differentiated and scaffolded learning. Pupils will be able to ask questions, we will go through examples together before they complete independent work to gauge their mastery and understanding of a topic or concept. Homework will be provided after every lesson to ensure thorough consolidation and grasp of the topic.
