My first language was French as i am of Congolese origin. I also student French at GCSE level a year earlier than my year group as i was quite advanced in the language. Additionally i studied French at A Level too. At GCSE level i obtained a grade 9 and at A Level level i obtained a grade A. For me the best way to teach would be to assess the students basic knowledge of the language first, identify their strengths and weaknesses then develop from there.
