I am a modern languages graduate from 2023, currently finishing up 7 months of work as an English language assistant in Lyon, France, teaching English to children from the ages of 6 to 11.

As well as my experience teaching English as a foreign language in schools, I also do English tutoring for a couple of hours each week, and for this I incorporate many different teaching methods into the classes. I use books and stories, which can be really engaging and great for the students to listen to a story read by a native English speaker, and I also use songs and short videos. Games are also great, memory games or speaking games, and if I feel that my students are really progressing with a certain topic I will give them a written task to complete.
