Advert description
Hi,
My name is Dana or Mrs. Laslau as my students call me.
I am a great believer in lifelong learning, I’m a firm believer that each day offers an opportunity to learn something new, whether it’s mastering a skill or expanding our knowledge. This continuous pursuit sharpens the mind and keeps us mentally agile and emotionally strong. For me, true success isn’t measured by grades alone, but by the personal growth we experience along the way. What matters most is how students evolve, what insights they carry forward, and the resilience they build. Confidence, empowerment, and motivation are the cornerstones of my approach, helping students transform challenges into opportunities for growth. It’s not just about the marks we make on paper—it’s about the impact learning has on who we become.
As a qualified Master in Education with over five years of full-time teaching experience, I am dedicated to supporting the academic and personal growth of students. With a background in Early Childhood Studies, child and brain development, I specialize in providing personalized tutoring that prioritizes well-being, encouragement, and motivation.
In my tutoring sessions, I focus on creating a positive, supportive atmosphere where students feel empowered to learn. By addressing their emotional and mental well-being alongside their academic needs, I help build resilience and self-confidence. Through tailored encouragement and consistent motivation, I ensure that students not only excel in their studies but also develop a lifelong love for learning.
I also incorporate techniques such as breathing exercises and meditation to help students stay focused, manage stress, and overcome anxiety. These tools are essential in maintaining their concentration and emotional balance, allowing them to approach their studies with a calm and focused mindset.
Additionally, I allow students to talk about their emotions and what's bothering them, giving them a healthy outlet to let off steam. Whether they need to express themselves or prefer to reflect quietly, I encourage respectful interaction or personal reflection, helping them develop emotional intelligence and learn when to engage with others or mind their own boundaries. These discussions are vital in promoting self-awareness and emotional well-being, empowering students to navigate both academic and social challenges.
