I'm Amena, a dedicated educator with over a decade of experience, on a mission to empower students to reach their highest potential.
With a proven track record of guiding countless students to achieve Grade 8s and 9s in their GCSEs, I take immense pride in nurturing young minds for success.
My impact extends beyond GCSEs – I've helped A Level Biology students attain As and A*s. Their achievements include securing coveted spots at prestigious institutions like Oxbridge and other Russell Group Universities. They have attained places in medical school, veterinary college and dentistry, showcasing the transformative power of quality education.
Serving as Deputy Head of Science for five years, I have led KS4 Science in my Department. I was awarded the National Award for Middle Leadership by the SSAT. This recognition underscores my dedication and the positive impact I've had on shaping academic landscapes.
As an examiner for Edexcel and AQA GCSE Science as well as A Level Biology, I bring a unique insight into exam dynamics. This vantage point allows me to tailor my teaching methods to tackle the specific challenges students face during exams, ensuring their readiness and confidence.
My educational journey includes a BSc in Biology, an MSc in Health and Society: Social Epidemiology, and a PGCE in Secondary Science from University College London. My commitment to innovative teaching strategies was acknowledged with the prestigious Elihaour Dangoor Scholarship for Excellence in 2012.
